a trip to the park

Today Kyle, Alfie, and I went to the park. Alfie loves being outside! He is always trying to escape through the sliding glass doors (which is not allowed, because we live on the 10th floor). At the park Alfie likes to play with bees, watch squirrels, hide in the bushes, and try to climb trees. Alfie thinks he is a jungle cat.

Here is a little doodle of my alfie cat. He is obsessed with the tub. If I turn on the faucet, he comes running to sit on the ledge and watch the water. If the water isn't on likes to hide in it. Then, when I walk past, he jumps out and scares me!

I am in the process of giving my blog a face lift (blog lift?). So bear with me while I get the design straightened out. And because I like structure, I am trying to come up with a schedule for posts. I think having specific features each day will be instant inspiration for posts. Of course, I will probably go off track often, but really, whose going to notice? My most avid blog reader is my mom (Hi Moy!).

what i do during class:

Paying attention in class is hard for me. 

There are two choices for note-taking in class. You can either use a computer or a notebook. Either choice is a distraction. If I take my laptop, I WILL read blogs for the majority of the class. If I bring my notebook, I WILL doodle. Doodling and blog reading takes precedence over note-taking. 

What makes the situation worse is that my classes this semester aren't really  notes-intensive classes. If I knew I needed to take notes, I definitely would. But for my classes, the notes are either online or there are no tests. So, really how can you expect me to take notes, especially when I get brilliant ideas for drawings like the one above? (note: i took liberties with the word choice "brilliant")
